NEW INFO re NKN CLUB PICNIC

Neahkahnie Neighbors,

We are very excited to welcome you back to our traditional Neahkahnie Club summer picnic, our first since the pandemic hit in mid-2020. We also remain committed to keeping our community safe while enjoying our social events. Given the current spike in Covid risk in Tillamook County, we’ve streamlined our 2022 picnic to reduce the risk of transmission while still enjoying a wonderful summer picnic together.

Please carefully review the following REVISED INVITATION.

Hope to see you at the picnic,

Jacki Hinton

President, Neahkahnie Community Club

Save the Dates for the 2022 Picnic and Jingle ‘n Mingle

Neahkahnie Neighbors,

I’m pleased to announce that plans for the 2022 Neahkahnie Community Club social events are well underway. It’s time to Save the Dates and Send in your Membership Renewal!

The annual NCC picnic will be held at noon on August 13th on the lovely grounds of St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church, 36335 N Hwy 101, Nehalem. We were forced to change the picnic venue this year because Nehalem Bay State Park no longer allows reservation of the Meeting Hall.

We also plan to open this year’s holiday season with the NCC Jingle ‘n Mingle at 5:30 pm on December 10th at the newly renovated Pine Grove Community House, 225 Laneda Ave, Manzanita.

Unfortunately I must add the all too familiar caveat that our event plans are subject to change based on State and Federal health and safety guidance at the time. Keep your fingers crossed and your party clothes ready!

More details will follow for each event. For now just mark your calendars and mail in your membership renewal form and annual dues. A copy of the form is attached below for your convenience. It can also be found on our website at https://www.neahkahnieclub.org/

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Hope to see you all at the picnic,
Jacki Hinton

2021 Annual Letter and 2022 Annual Meeting Announcement

Dear Neahkahnie Community Club Members:

Each January the Neahkahnie Community Club (NCC) holds an “Annual Meeting” to review the prior year’s activities, elect board members and make plans for the coming year. This is an informal meeting to which all current NCC members are invited and encouraged to attend.

Due to the ongoing pandemic the Annual Meeting once again will be held on Zoom:

2022 Annual Meeting of the Neahkahnie Community Club

Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:00 am

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83171942287?pwd=cjRGZjIwdGpJTHJkNFE4NEYyUENldz09

We have high hopes that life will return to some semblance of normal soon and allow us to safely gather for social events again. We will send you ‘Save the Date’ notices as soon as we finalize a plan for this year’s events. In the meantime, let’s all keep our fingers crossed for fun times together in 2022!

The NCC board decided to continue to forego annual membership renewals until we’re able to hold social events again. However, we continue to welcome new members and encourage you to invite your neighbors to join NCC. Membership forms are available on the NCC website http://www.neahkahnieclub.org/

I hope to see you at our Zoom Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 22nd. Please contact me with any questions or comments.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year,

Jacki Hinton

2021 Jingle ‘n Mingle Cancelled

Dear Neahkahnie Neighbors and Friends,

Now is the time I normally would be officially inviting you to the Neahkahnie Community Club’s 2021 Jingle ‘n Mingle holiday party and requesting your RSVP.  Regrettably I instead am notifying you that the NCC Board decided to cancel this year’s Jingle ‘n Mingle scheduled for December 11th at the Pine Grove Community House.

In making this decision the Board considered a number of factors, including current CDC, state and county COVID 19 health and safety recommendations; the venue’s size and ventilation; our community’s higher risk level given age demographics; the party’s buffet style food service; and the high transmissibility of the Delta variant. Given that no one can predict the state of the pandemic on December 11th, the Board had to make its decision based on current information with community safety as its number one priority.

Hopefully as case numbers decline and the number of fully vaccinated individuals increases, we can return to safely enjoying social events such as the Jingle ‘n Mingle in 2022. In the meantime, the NCC Board wishes you and your loved ones a happy and healthy holiday season.

All the Best,

Jacki Hinton, President, Neahkahnie Community Club, 10/28/2021

Neahkahnie Community Club Annual Meeting

Dear Neahkahnie Community Club members:

Each January the Neahkahnie Community Club (NCC) holds an “Annual Meeting” for its members to elect board members, to review and approve the financial report and the minutes of the prior year’s Annual Meeting and to make plans for the coming year. This is an informal meeting to which all current NCC members are invited and encouraged to attend. A draft of the 2019 Annual Meeting Minutes is attached for your review in advance of the meeting.

Given current risks posed by Covid 19, NCC’s Annual Meeting for 2020 will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 10:00 am on Zoom. The meeting link is provided below:

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/4507985512?pwd=LzlIRWY3WjlqL2JndlV5S2RteEkvdz09

No doubt we all anxiously await the time when we can gather once again with family, friends and neighbors. Unfortunately, the timing for a safe return to such gatherings is unknown given the ongoing pandemic and uncertainty as to when vaccinations will be available to everyone. These circumstances led the NCC board to forego the annual membership renewal drive at this time because we currently are not planning to hold any social events in 2021. The board will reconvene later in the year to determine if a holiday party can be held safely and if a venue is available. We’ll send you a ‘Save the Date’ notice and Membership Renewal Form in the event that a holiday party is scheduled.

It’s important to note that we continue to welcome new members. NCC membership ensures notice of all upcoming events. As always, we encourage you to tell your new neighbors about NCC and invite them to join. Membership forms are available on the NCC website http://www.neahkahnieclub.org/.

I hope to see you at our Zoom Annual Meeting on January 30th. Please contact me with any questions or comments.
